Communication and Media Department

The department of Communications and Media consists of sixteen staff members and is responsible for the following:

 

  1. Developing and implementing communications strategies for all MoIFAR departments, programmes and activities 
  2. Designing visibility materials, including but not limited to banners, flyers, billboards, calendars and more.
  3. Gathering editing and publishing MoIFAR content on social media and other relevant platforms.
  4. Managing the website of MoIFAR and its affiliated institutions.
  5. Managing media coverage for all MoIFAR events, meetings and gatherings.
  6. Writing, editing and disseminating press releases.
  7. Photography and videography of all MoIFAR events.
  8. Crisis communication such as damage control messaging and counter terrorism narratives.
  9. Translations to and from Somali, English, Arabic and Turkish.
  10. Writing and proofreading speeches of the ministers.
  11. Media training and consulting for the ministers.
  12. Partner and Donor engagement.
  13. Post event communications and media monitoring.
