The Director General of the Ministry of Interior

H.E. Aidarus Moallim Hassan brings vast expertise in Security Studies, Peace Governance and Development to the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation. With a strong foundation in national security administration, federal security coordination, conflict stabilization, and peace-for-development systems, he has served at senior technical and leadership levels within the Federal Government of Somalia.

Formerly the Deputy Director General of the Somali Bureau of Standards and Advisor for Standardization and Quality Control at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry, he also held key roles in institutional development, technical coordination, national training programs, and community-level governance support.

In his role as Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, His Excellency leads national efforts focused on federal cooperation, internal security governance, reconciliation systems, state administration support, and strengthening the link between security, peace and sustainable national development.

Director General Hassan brings strong competencies in strategic planning, policy execution, leadership, governance and conflict resolution, supported by specialized training in Security and Peace-Centered Development approaches. He is fluent in Somali, Arabic and English, and is recognized for inclusive leadership and systems-driven public service.
