Communication and Media Department
The department of Communications and Media consists of sixteen staff members and is responsible for the following:
- Developing and implementing communications strategies for all MoIFAR departments, programmes and activities
- Designing visibility materials, including but not limited to banners, flyers, billboards, calendars and more.
- Gathering editing and publishing MoIFAR content on social media and other relevant platforms.
- Managing the website of MoIFAR and its affiliated institutions.
- Managing media coverage for all MoIFAR events, meetings and gatherings.
- Writing, editing and disseminating press releases.
- Photography and videography of all MoIFAR events.
- Crisis communication such as damage control messaging and counter terrorism narratives.
- Translations to and from Somali, English, Arabic and Turkish.
- Writing and proofreading speeches of the ministers.
- Media training and consulting for the ministers.
- Partner and Donor engagement.
- Post event communications and media monitoring.
