Department of Planning, Training and Supervision
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Developing the general work plan for The Ministry in accordance with the Ninth National Development Plan (9NDP) based on the priority needs for the Somali people.
- The department reviews evaluate and oversees various ministry activities and projects.
- The department prepares the knowledge and skill training requirements for The Ministry’s staff.
- The department regularly monitors the implementation of the Annual Work Plan (AWP).
Notably, The Ninth National Development Plan (9NDP) which is closely aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals agreed upon by 193 Governments. The Department closely cooperates with and exchanges views and new information with The Ministry of National Planning and Economic Development of the country.
Duties of The Director:
- Assessing and gathering accurate information on the overall necessities of The Ministry.
- Preparation of the general work plan for The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation.
- Monitoring and implementation of the Ninth National Development Plan (9NDP).
- Monitoring and evaluation of The Ministry’s Annual Work Plan.
- Responsible for inquiries regarding the implementation of The Ministry’s annual work plan.
Duties of Head of Training Division:
- Keeping up with the training needs of ministry staff.
- Preparing in-house and external training.
- Assessing the skill gap and enhancing the capacity of ministry staff.
- Preparing regular trainings to develop the capacity of ministry staff.
Duties of The Assistant Head of The Inspection and Evaluation Division:
Monitoring and evaluation of the projects of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation.
