MOIFAR Hosts Consultative Meeting to Validate the National Decentralization Policy 2026–2030

The Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation (MOIFAR) held a consultative and validation meeting on the National Decentralization Policy (NDP) 2026–2030, chaired by the Director General of MOIFAR, Mr. Aidarus M Hassan.

The sessions brought together senior government officials, development partners, and policy experts to review and validate key components of the policy, including political, fiscal, sectoral, and administrative decentralization, as well as decentralized planning, local economic development, and popular participation.

The discussions were led by Prof. N. Awortwi, with participants actively contributing insights and recommendations to strengthen the policy framework and implementation roadmap.

The meeting concluded with remarks from the Ministry’s leadership, reaffirming MOIFAR’s commitment to advancing decentralization and promoting inclusive governance across Somalia.
