This afternoon in Mogadishu, the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation Launched the Unified Digital Civil Registration System of the Federal Republic of Somalia.
Where the Minister of Interior, Federal Affair and Reconciliation H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh welcomed the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Health, Education and more.
At the event, the Director General of the Civil Registration and Vital Statistics Directorate Abdiqani Wehelie talked about the road map that led to the launch of the Digitalized Civil Registration System of Somalia.
And Chairman of Somalia’s Chamber of Commerce talked about the importance of having an accessible, reliable and unified Civil Registration System. Adding that this will contribute to the progress and development of the nation.
The Director General of the National Identification and Registration Authority talked about his office’s commitment to the registration of every Somali.

“Civil registration is the basis on which the government of Somalia will serve its people. Security, health, education and commerce are a few of the services that can only accurately be provided once the population is registered and accounted for.
This Ministry is the government institution that is mandated with Civil Registration. And while all local governments will be able to use this unified system, the Ministry of Interior will be the center point for all things Civil Registration”
