Representatives from the Departments of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation today elected the Ministry’s Workplace Committee in a ceremony attended by both the Minister and State Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E Ahmed Macallin Fiqi and H.E Sadad Mohamed Nur Aliyow.
The Acting Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal and Reconciliation Abdi Aziz Ahmed Gurbiye thanked the leadership of the Ministry for this transparent and historic Ministry election.
Fourteen candidates, of which ten were men and four women competed in this election which saw seven members elected to the Ministry’s Workplace Committee Their duties will include protecting the rights of staff, supervising workplace behavior, preventing violations, and more.
The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi talked about the important role of this committee as champions of good workplace practices. He further urged them to handle their duties fairly, impartially and responsibly.
