The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi today paid a visit to the new headquarters of the National Independent Electoral Commission where he was received by the Secretary General Abdirizak Bashir Mohamed.
H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi then briefed staff on ongoing reviews of the laws governing elections.
He further stated that the National Independent Electoral Commission will soon be appointed and instructed staff to prepare for a large-scale operation to implement free and fair elections in which the people of Somalia cast their votes.
