The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi received a visit from UNHCR’s Director of Regional Bureau Mr. Mamadou Dian Balde, Somalia Country Representative Mr. Magatte Guisse and Mr. Ahmed Ainte.
Also in attendance, the Commissioner of the National Commission for Refugees and IDPs Ms. Safia Mohamed.
The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation talked about the Upper House of Representatives passing the Refugee and Asylum Seekers Bill, adding that in the coming weeks, the President of the republic is expected to sign the bill into legislation.
The meeting also discussed regional concerns, as well as the concerns facing Refugees and IDPs in Somalia.
