H.E Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, chaired a meeting with the Somali Disaster Management Agency and the Gedo Region Flood Relief Committee led by ministers, philanthropists and Al-Rahma foundation. The focus of the discussion was on flood relief.
Members of the committee informed the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation that they are ready to donate boats and other aid currently located in Mogadishu and asked for the government’s assistance in delivering this aid to Gedo.
The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moalim Fiqi, thanked the committee for their efforts, adding that unifying and coordinating the aid efforts of communities and that of the government will save the lives of many Somalis.
