Mogadishu, 29 Oct 2023; H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, alongside the Minister of Education, Minister of Health and other Federal Officials and Representatives gathered at Zoobe today for a commemoration and prayer, marking a year since the devastating 29th October 2022 attack which killed 120 Somalis and injured 300.
In his official remarks, the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation talked about the brutal war the khawarij terrorists have always waged on Somalia’s education sector.
“From the horrific graduation attack of 2009 and the Hargaha and Saamaha scholarship beneficiaries attack in 2011, to last year’s Zoobe attack, the Khawarij have always targeted Somali students with their most brutal actions. Their time is over now.”
