Italy 30 Sept 2023, The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi attended the Ministerial Conference on the 20th Anniversary of the Palermo Convention, also known as the United Nations Convention against Transnational Organized Crime.
State leaders and legal experts gathered for a discussion on human trafficking and smuggling of migrants with emphasis on the legal and operational instruments used to counter criminal activities in the Mediterranean.
Minister Fiqi then followed this up with a bilateral meeting his Italian counterpart, H.E Matteo Plantedosi to discuss the concerns of migration and human trafficking as well as the cooperation between the two Ministries of Interior.
