in Mudug, the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, met with the traditional elders, youth, and scholars of the Ali Ibrahim (Baidiyahan) community in Galkayo, Mudug Region.
The Minister and the community leaders discussed the fortification and acceleration of peace and reconciliation efforts in the Mudug Region.
Further discussions covered liberation efforts and the fight against the Khawarij terrorist groups, as Minister Fiqi delivered a comprehensive speech on the efforts of the Federal Government of Somalia. With special detail to the Ministry’s efforts in reconciliation and stabilization.
On the other hand, the traditional elders welcomed the efforts of the Somali National Army and their work to rid the country of Khawarij groups, affirming their commitment to reconciliation and peace among the Somali communities in Mudug Region.
The meeting concluded with the Baidiyahan community leaders thanking Minister Ahmed Moallim Fiqi’s for his work towards peace and stabilization of the Mudug region and its communities.
