The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi touched down in Dhusamareeb, Galmudug state for the Deegan Bile and Daryeel closing ceremony. Also in attendance were Galmudug’s Deputy President, Galmudug Minister of Interior, International partners and the United Nations stabilization actors.
“We are here today to hold each other accountable. To reflect on the impact of these projects and to ensure that their benefits have reached the target communities” – H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation.
The minister then went on to thank the European Union and their implementing partners at IOM Somalia for these two programs which over the last couple of years have had positive impact on newly liberated communities all over Somalia.
The ceremony was then concluded with a press conference where H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi alongside Galmudug’s Deputy President and the European Union’s Deputy Ambassador, expressed the need to scale stabilization and early recovery efforts in the region in light of upcoming liberation efforts.
