Discussions kick off at day two of the National Stabilization Coordination Meeting in Kismayo led by the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi and attended by FMS Ministers of Interior as well as other stabilization partners and stakeholders.
Abdinasir Haji, MoIFAR’s Director of Federalism took participants through the Allocation of Powers agenda in the National Consultative Council as it relates to Somalia’s current stabilization efforts.
This was followed by a detailed presentation on the ongoing stabilization and recovery efforts by Senior Stabilization Advisor Ramadan Elmi of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation.
Ahmed Hassan Ahmed of Hirshabelle’s Ministry of Interior then took participants through the state’s liberation operations and the subsequent stabilization and recovery efforts.
Concluding the National Stabilization Coordination Meeting, the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi thanked the Federal Member States for their attendance and commitment to the stabilization and recovery of newly liberated communities.
