The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation His Excellency Ahmed Mo’allim Fiqi alongside Federal and State representatives, the European Union and NIS Foundation launched Rapid Nationwide Stabilisation Programme.
Set to take place in four Federal Member States namely, Hirshabelle, Jubaland, Southwest and Galmudug, the Rapid Nationwide Stabilization Programme will provide water sources, security and reconciliation to newly liberated communities in Somalia.
In attendance at the launch, State Minister of Internal Security, the Ministers of Interior of the Federal Member States, the European Union’s Ambassador to Somalia and the NIS foundation Country Director among other delegates and representatives.
The European Union’s ambassador to Somalia Tiina Intelmann thanked the government of Somalia for prioritising stabilisation efforts, adding that the EU remains a close friend and partner to Somalia, one that is committed now more than ever to the stabilisation and recovery of the country.
Southwest State Minister of Interior Mr. Abdullahi Haji Hassan thanked His Excellency Ahmed Mo’allim Fiqi for his leadership at the Federal level stabilisation efforts, adding that the Southwest State of Somalia is ready to play it’s role in the liberation and stabilisation operations taking place across somalia.
