The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh attended the 2nd Somali National ID Conference held in Mogadishu.
The conference brought together federal and state officials, international partners, private sector representatives and members of the civil society to review progress and strengthen collaboration on Somalia’s national identification system.
During the Conference, the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh delivered remarks highlighting the importance of a reliable national identification system as a pillar of state-building and modern governance.
He emphasized that national ID is essential for accessing public services including finance, education, health, security and law enforcement.
