The Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia Approves the IDP Bill

The Upper House of the Federal Parliament of Somalia conducted the third and final reading of the IDP Bill and officially approved it.

The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh extended his gratitude to the Honourable Senators for fulfilling their constitutional duty and approving this important legislation.

He highlighted that the passage of the bill lays a strong foundation for protecting the rights and dignity of internally displaced persons, strengthening national efforts to provide assistance, and promoting sustainable solutions to prevent future displacement across Somalia.
