Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh attended the Second Annual Disaster Resilience Conference organized by the Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA).
In his address, Minister Hosh underscored the conference’s vital role in fostering collaboration among Somali researchers, government institutions, humanitarian organizations, and academic institutions to advance innovative approaches to disaster risk reduction and resilience.
He highlighted that sound governance and sustainable disaster preparedness must be built on credible, evidence-based research and reliable local data.
The Minister commended SoDMA’s leadership and technical teams for their efforts in organizing the conference and reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to strengthening national resilience and protecting lives and livelihoods across Somalia.
