Deputy Minister of Interior Meets with IOM Leadership to Strengthen Cooperation on Stabilization and Recovery

The Deputy Minister of Interior, H.E. Abdihakim Ashkir, met with the Deputy Director General of the International Organization for Migration (IOM), accompanied by the IOM Regional Director for East and Horn of Africa, the Chief of Mission in Somalia, and the Deputy Chief of Mission.

The meeting focused on enhancing cooperation in key areas including stabilization, civil registration, and durable solutions. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to supporting Somalia’s governance and recovery efforts through a strengthened partnership and aligned priorities.
