National Consultative Forum

H.E. Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh, Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs, and Reconciliation, participated in the National Consultative Forum convened by H.E. President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, focusing on Somalia’s democratic transformation.

During the second day of the Forum, H.E Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh delivered a strong statement reaffirming the Federal Government’s commitment to holding direct elections based on the principle of One Person One Vote, as enshrined in Article 47 of the Provisional Constitution.

He further highlighted that the government of Somalia has finalized the formation of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, ensuring they are fully supported to deliver transparent and inclusive elections.

“Gogol” a Somali word rooted in the nation’s cultural values of open dialogue and reconciliation, marks its third day as a unifying forum that brings together representatives from federal and state governments, political leaders, traditional elders and other key stakeholders.
