The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ali Yusuf Ali (Hosh) opened the JPLG Steering Committee Meeting with attendance from the Federal Member States, United Nations Representatives and International Partners.
“The JPLG Programmed is a crucial part of the local governance, decentralization, and service delivery efforts of the government of Somalia. As such, it is imperative we revive it.”

This was followed by discussions from the Federal Member States, the Banadir Regional Administration and Somalia’s Local Governance Partners.
The Deputy Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Abdihakim Ashkir touched on the importance of the effective implementation of the JPLG Programmed, in order to build local governance systems that serve all members of Somali community.
