The Annual Joint Iftar

 

The Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia H.E Hamza Abdi Barre opened the Anual Joint #Iftar of government officials and community representatives organised by the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation.

 

In attendance js H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, alongside the Federal Ministers of Planning, Health, Transport, Livestock, Religious Affairs, Telecommunications, and Fisheries as well as the Governor of Banaadir and Mayor of Mogadishu.

 

In his official remarks at the Anual Joint Iftar, the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia H.E Hamza Abdi Barre touched on important national topics such as security improvements reached and constitutional review among others.

 

This was followed by Maghrib prayers led by the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia during today’s Annual Joint Iftar bringing together government officials and community representatives.

 

“Members of Somali society are interested in the constitutional review, and this forum gives them an effective platform to voice those views.”

Civil society representatives, traditional elders, religious scholars, women representatives, and other members of Somali society commended the government’s achievements in the constitutional review, community engagement, and the fight against the Khawarij terrorist groups.

 

Organized by the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, the Annual Joint Iftar aims to bring together members of the public and government officials for a prayer and Iftar meeting that discusses current issues and national priorities.
