In commemoration of Somalia’s yearlong liberation efforts, the Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi delivered communications equipment and office supplies to liberated and frontline communities in Hirshabelle and Galmudug.
This support, which was delivered in close collaboration with the Hirshabelle and Galmudug Ministries of Interior aims to capacitate the district offices and community centers of Adan Yabal, Mahas, Bahdo, and Wisil.
We first met these communities during the Ramadan Campaign where we delivered Iftar packages for the duration of the holy month of Ramadan. This time, the Ministry is back with communications and office supplies to support building the district offices and community centers of these newly liberated and frontline communities.
This comes as the Somali National Army and community forces launch heavy offensives against the Khawarij in many Areas in Galmudug and Hirshabelle and we can expect more newly liberated communities that will experience government presence for the first time in over a decade.
