Today in Dhusamareeb, Galmudug, officials from the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, the Galmudug Ministry of Interior, and NIS Foundation are gathered to discuss the Program for Social, Political and Environmental Resilience in Somalia (PROSPERIS).
The meeting was attended by the H.E. ABDI MOHAMMED JAMA WAYEL of Galmudug’s Ministry of Interior and State Minister H.E Omar Mohammed Diriye and the Director General Omar Abdi Mohammed.
One of the objectives of today’s meeting is to present the specific interventions planned for Galmudug State under #PROSPERIS and discussions covered social issues including the empowerment of youth and women as well as job creation through the construction of markets and microfinance of small businesses.
Following this, the officials from the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation attended the inauguration ceremony of the Galmudug commercial market and gravel road attended by the President of Galmudug State of Somalia and supported by the European Union.
Finally, H.E. Ahmed Abdi kariye, president of Galmudug State, thanked the Federal Government of Somalia and European Union donors for their support of the Galmudug community and government and economy.
