In Mogadishu on July18, 2023, The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi attended the Wadajir Community Awareness and Consultation Forum alongside the Minister of Internal Security, H.E. Mohammed Ahmed Sh. Ali Doodishe, the Governor of Banadir and Mayor of Mogadishu, Hon. Yusuf Hussein Jimale, the Somali Police Commander, Brigadier Gen. Sulub Ahmed Firin, as well as community leaders.
The forum discussed community led security and the importance of cooperation between the community members and security forces in order to eliminate the threat of the khawarij terror gangs and other anti-peace groups.
In his remarks, H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi talked about the hard work and sacrifices made by Somalia’s Security Forces, to ensure that on an afternoon like this, government representatives and community members are able to gather in such a peaceful setting.
