Kismayo June 19, 2023; H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi touched down in Kismayo, Jubaland, where he was received by the Deputy President H.E Mohamud Sayd Adan. The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation is in Kismayo for the National Stabilization Coordination Meeting.
At the opening ceremony H.E Mohamed Ibrahim Oogle, Minister of Interior, Jubaland State welcomes participants to Kismayo for the National Stabilization Coordination Meeting and thanks them for their commitment to the stabilization and recovery efforts of Somalia
“The purpose of this meeting is to coordinate and unify stabilization efforts. Bringing all stakeholders together, to enable them to exchange information and resolve shared challenges” H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation
Minister Fiqi added that better coordinated stabilization activities will bring about better living standards for our communities and better government service delivery. It will also eliminate anti peace groups such as the khawarij terror gangs. Further emphasizing that the time for standalone stabilization activities is over, and that the government of Somalia and its partners must come together to push this agenda forward and ensure the liberation and stabilization of our communities.
“It is crucial that we keep newly liberated areas liberated, we do this through stabilization. We cannot afford to lose newly liberated areas back to the hands of the enemy.”
