The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim Fiqi officially opened the public debate on Somalia’s Electoral Model.
With a panel of experts including the Federal Minister of Internal Security, the Chairman of the Civil Society Association, and more.
Also in attendance, legal experts, civil society representatives, women’s groups, youth representatives, students, traditional elders, religious scholars and representatives from the various political parties in Somalia.
“We are to get your views and input on the new electoral model. Since this new model puts the power in the hands of the Somali public, we think it is important to get your input here tonight.”
