To conclude the month long Ramadan campaign “Xorriyad Ku Afur” which delivered Iftar packages to newly liberated areas, the Minister of Interior Federal Affairs and Reconciliation H.E Ahmed Moallim is in Bahdo tonight, joining the community and security forces for Iftar and Prayer.
A symbol of peace and stability in the region
In attendance at this Iftar were officials from the Ministry of Interior Federal Affairs and Reconciliation, Galmudug’s Ministry of Interior, the Bahdo district commissioner, Somali security forces leading liberation operations in the area and the Bahdo community.
“Truly, it is an honor for me to be here with the noble people of Bahdo. The people who stood up to the khawarij and showed Somalis everywhere the meaning of community security”, His Excellency Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, Minister of Interior Federal Affairs and Reconciliation.
While in Bahdo, the Minister and his delegation also delivered Eid food packages consisting of rice, flour, milk and cooking oil to the vulnerable members of the community.

Throughout the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Interior Federal Affairs and Reconciliation has been distributing iftar packages consisting of rice, flour, dates, milk and cooking oil to newly liberated communities experiencing their first peaceful Ramadan in over a decade.
The district commissioner of Bahdo thanked Minister Fiqi for visiting, eating and praying with the community. Adding that the food packages came at a time when the vulnerable among the community needed it most considering the drought and insecurity the community have been facing.
