This week, under the leadership of His Excellency Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation and in close coordination with Hirshabelle authorities, MoIFAR was in Mahas, distributing Iftar packages consisting of rice, flour, milk, dates and cooking oil.
This campaign known as “Xorriyad Ku Afur” aims to feed newly liberated communities during the holy month of Ramadan.
The governor of Mahaas, Hon. Moumin Mohamed Halane, who distributed the packages on behalf of Minister Ahmed Mo’allim Fiqi thanked the Ministry of Interior, Federal and Reconciliation, and urged the community to always strive for peace and stabilisation.
Similar campaigns are planned to take place in different parts of Somalia in the coming days.
