Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation His Excellency Ahmed Mo’allim Fiqi attended today’s closing ceremony of the Somali Banking and Finance Conference, where he talked about the importance of banks using a valid registration system in order to battle financial crimes such as fraud and terrorism.
The Minister of Interior added that the government of Somalia will soon launch the National Identification and Registration system. A system that, among other things, is projected to facilitate access to safe and reliable banking services.
